Para Urn

The Para Urn was created in collaboration with Portland, Oregon, ceramicist Carson Culp. Trained at the storied Leach Pottery in Cornwall, England, Carson applies traditional techniques to this elegantly modern composition. Its curved form references the arc of memory, with the exterior finish a visually complex black oil spot or transparent celadon glaze. Each Para Urn is made on a pottery wheel from the centuries-old material of white porcelain and features an interior hand-glazed in transparent celadon.
