We have proudly served the Southern Wisconsin community since 1932, when our founder Hilmar A. Nitardy opened his first funeral home in the area. We feel very fortunate to continue serving the community three generations later. In 2007, we constructed our first funeral home in Whitewater. Here, our mission is the same as it has been for over 90 years: help walk our community through times of grief and provide beautiful and meaningful services to every family that walks through our doors. We are proud that Whitewater families trust us to take care of their loved ones.

  • Care of your loved one until burial is complete. Family not present with timing at the discretion of the funeral home.

I would highly recommend Nitardy Funeral Home. It was the little, small details that made our service for our loved one special. The background at the altar, the guest book, and the caring for the family was so appreciated.

In the beginning, all was great. Good care of deceased. Calls became constant. The person was going between family members, which was wrong. Even gave a family member a death certificate before the executor. The funeral date was even set wrong with the cemetery! Thankfully, Gary was very kind when we picked up ashes. When I had to call about the date, and other errors, thankfully Denise was very good at helping and fixing all so we could go on with the funeral when it was planned.
