Helping St. Paul Families since 1950

Spielman Mortuary has been helping St. Paul families since 1950 when Kenneth and Helen Spielman purchased the National Funeral Home. For over 30 years, the couple lived above the funeral home and took just one vacation. They sold the home in 1984 to the Willwerscheid family. We still operate Spielman Mortuary with the same traditions of pride, sensitivity, value, and attention to detail that the Spielmans followed for over three decades.


Our team helps walk our community through times of grief and provides beautiful and meaningful services to every family that walks through our doors.   • Price is for direct cremation with basic cremation container, and without visitation, formal services, or ceremony.
  • Includes all of the essential services of the funeral director and staff.
  • Removal and local transportation of your loved one to the crematory (within 25 miles).
  • Care of your loved one until cremation is complete.
  • Cremation process and return of ashes.
  • Consultation with responsible party for final arrangements.
  • All the necessary permits and authorizations.
  • Free self-service online obituary.
  • Many other optional services available - including celebration of life event planning, traditional funeral service, on-site catering, scattering assistance, and more - at additional charge.

  • Price is for burial with no visitation or formal services and ceremonies. Does not include casket, outer burial container, or cemetery costs.
  • Includes all of the essential services of the funeral director and staff.
  • Removal of your loved one as well as local transportation to the cemetery for burial (within 25 miles).
  • Care of your loved one until burial is complete. Family not present with timing at the discretion of the funeral home.
  • Consultation with responsible party for final arrangements.
  • All the necessary permits and authorizations.
  • Free self-service online obituary.
  • Many other optional services available - including celebration of life event planning, traditional funeral service, on-site catering, police escort to the gravesite, and more - at additional charge.

I would like to thank Spielman Mortuary as a whole for taking care of my extremely beloved mother who passed in January 2025. It was the most difficult time of my life and didn't know what to do. Thankfully, I was Blessed with Dominic and Crystal from Spielman who walked me and my brother through everything and were there to answer any questions we had which was a lot. They were extremely communicative, compassionate, understanding, kind and caring. The service was beautiful and smooth. I would also like to thank Julie for checking in with us after and sending bereavement resources to assist our family through this tremendously difficult time. That type of legitimate care of other human beings nowadays is extremely rare and so appreciated. God Bless you all ~

I love Spielman Mortuary they do an wonderful job on your love ones my brother passed 2017 and mother 2024 I would definitely recommend them the people there are loving so sweet and help the family out alot thank you for what you do. The White Family
