Losing a loved one it is hard enough to cope with, and the thought to making funeral arrangements can be overwhelming. For that, I’m so grateful to Advent Funeral Home director for the services provided and guidance to ease the transition possible for our last goodbyes.

I highly recommend Advent Funeral on Rt 29 in Falls Church, Va. Coreen Nottingham, the funeral director, is extremely helpful and dedicated! She even ensured my Mother was placed in the correct direction at the cemetery. Advent funeral and cremation goes beyond to assist with your needs. Highly recommend for anyone in Northern Virginia area needing funeral services!

I really appreciated that Jeff and the other Advent staff members always went the extra mile to make things as easy as possible for me at a truly terrible time. Advent handled the cremations of both my parents (in 2020 and 2025) and I recommend them wholeheartedly. When you’re grieving, it helps to be dealing with people who understand.

Our family had an excellent experience at Advent. Coreen made the process easy. She was clear with instructions & helpful getting forms to the *six* siblings of our deceased relative - who all needed to digitally sign certain documents. Side note: if you have older relatives who aren't good with computers, you might want to assign someone to help them "digitally sign" long distance (if this comes up for you). When we had an issue with this, Coreen did some great hand-holding on the phone & helped our non-computer-savvy relative get it done. Every single representative we spoke with was kind, nice, & easy to work with. We never felt rushed - Coreen let us gather ourselves slowly. Advent's space in Alexandria is so nice I wondered if they ever rented it out for parties (the answer: no). Advent's prices for cremation were competitive & often cheaper than the other five places I initially called. We made the right choice, going with Advent. We highly recommend Coreen & the Advent staff.

Coreen and Jeff were wonderful to work with. They both went out of their way to accommodate our needs as we were from out of state. After the services they offered much helpful information on who to notify etc. I would use them again and highly recommend.
