Oak Park Hills Chapel has proudly served families throughout Contra Costa County, California, for over 60 years. Our business' history begins when Roger Magleby, who was a pioneer in air-sea scatterings and a pilot, established our business in what was once a military medical staging and processing building for Camp Stoneman in Pittsburg, California. Ever since, we've had a special relationship with our military families and we are proud to be certified as Veterans Funeral Specialists.


Our funeral home is centrally located in the East Bay in Contra Costa County's Diablo Valley and easily accessible on North Main Street in Walnut Creek for families in the city as well as Pleasant Hill, Lafayette, and Concord.


We have transparent pricing for direct cremation and burial. As a recognition of our diverse area, we have Japanese speaking funeral advisors available and tailor our services to all needs and backgrounds.

I can’t say enough about Oak Park Hills and the care they took of my father. The owner Mark is outstanding and Dan’s the one that drove the hearse to the cemetery and took care of everything at that end. They are very kind and respectful. My father couldn’t receive a better sendoff. He had full military honors at Golden Gate national.

The Oak Park Hills team and the Magalby Family provide an outstanding experience. They have helped me through the passing of my Father In Law, Husband and last month my Mom. The service, support, and comfort they provide is the best anywhere. I highly recommend you add them to your trust or will to provide you and your family with the best possible experience during the worst time of your life.

I lost my mom unexpectedly and had no idea what to do. I have lived in the area my entire life and have driven by thousands of times. My first call was to Oak Park. From my first interaction to my last all the staff is amazing. They were kind, patience, and caring. Multiple interactions, I was crying and they explained the process with compassion. Losing a love one is hard and they made it a little easier. They have so many options for ashes and made it easy to order items. I got a necklace with ashes inside. Items came quickly and again they made it a smooth process. I hope I don't need to use the service again but if I do I will be going back to Oak Park!
